Thing-it has added a set of features to the Thing-it product suite to help protecting against contracting Sars-CoV-2. This feature set is provided free of charge to all of our existing clients.
6-Feet Office Support
Even a large portfolio of tens of corporate sites with thousands of desks can be configured within days to support distance control via desk bookings.
Users can book their desks via the Thing-it Mobile App - or browser-based without App installation.
Booking takes a few clicks and allows to enter preferences such as co-workers you want to sit close to.
Thing-it will help Corporate Real Estate Managers to choose the right desks and identify undesired clustering of bookings in certain areas.
If an infection is reported by a co-worker or guest, users at risk are identified via correlated bookings. Notification of these users can be initiated and disinfection tasks can be planned.
Indoor Risk Zone Management
Thing-it uses occupancy information from arbitrary sensors (e.g. Passive Infrared Sensors) to localize larger crowds and helps building managers to interfere as well as occupants to navigate around the crowds.
The CO2 concentration in rooms is directly correlated to the aerosol density in these rooms. Aerosols are known to be a carrier of the virus. Thing-it connects to CO2 sensors (e.g. via EnOcean in retrofit scenarios) and warns users about critical CO2 and hence aerosol levels in a room.
Store and Building Admittance Control
Thing-it provides an easy-to-install and easy-to-operate solution to control the in and out flow /presence of people in a store or building.
It counts the number of people entering and exiting the store via sensors at all entrance/exit doors, displays the total number of people in the store/building on displays (e.g. at the doors) and prompts people waiting in line to enter.
The same information is provided on service staff phones. Overflow of a predefined threshold is escalated via push notifications to service staff phones to allow them to interfere (close doors, stop people from entering).
If technical access to automatic doors can be provided via building control (e.g. BACnet), doors can automatically be closed on overflow.
The solution can be configured for a single store, multiple stores, floors or buildings as well as across sites with central dashboard and statistics.
Depending on the total number of people in a time interval, specific cleaning/disinfection tasks can be initiated via push notification and tracked via checklists.
